PHYS 1301 - College Physics I (lecture)
Prerequisites: MATH 2412, or MATH 1316 with a C or better Integrated Reading & Writing Basic Skills Prerequisite: INRW 0420
Fundamental principles of physics, using algebra and trigonometry; the principles and applications of classical mechanics and thermodynamics, including harmonic motion, mechanical waves and sound, physical systems, Newton’s Laws of Motion, and gravitation and other fundamental forces; with emphasis on problem solving.
This course fulfills the Life and Physical Sciences foundational component area of the core and addresses the following required objectives: Critical Thinking, Communication, Empirical Quantitative Skills, and Teamwork.
