Associate of Arts, concentration in New Media Communications

The Associate of Arts with a concentration in New Media Communications is designed to synchronously address career objectives that span over two disciplines; Digital Media and Communications.

Students will gain a theoretical understanding of mass media usage in the business world and will be exposed to hands-on technical skills needed for application and distribution of new media communication forms. Career fields include but are not limited to: broadcasting, public relations, web publishing, and various fields of communications.
 
The goal is for students to further their education by obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences (BAAS) degree at any accredited university offering BAAS degrees or at the following institutions: Texas A&M San Antonio, North Texas (online), University of Texas at Tyler, and Texas A&M Commerce (online).
 
This degree contains occupationally-specific credits that may not be accepted at other institutions.
