The Associate of Arts (AA) degrees are specifically designed for transfer as the equivalent of the first half of the Baccalaureate Degree requirements of most public colleges and Universities.
The study of sociology will prepare students for entrance into various careers. The relevance of sociology for all students is the expansion of human awareness and multiculturalism. In a society and world becoming more complex and interrelated, students increasingly need to be aware of the social and culture environments affecting their lives.

Communication (10) Core - 2 courses (6 credit hours)
Select 3 courses (9 hours) from the areas below. Two courses must be from the same area. Transfer students should contact an academic advisor at their transfer institution concerning prefered courses toward a minor.
A course may be used only once to fulfill degree requirements.
The student is encouraged to carefully examine requirements at the transfer institution. Requirements vary from institution to institution and can change from one year to the next.
