The Game Production specialization introduces the wide variety of disciplines and skills for working in the Game Industry.  It includes elements of game design, 2D and 3D art, QA testing, writing documentation, audio engineering, scripting, and working in a game engine.

Additional Program Information


The Game Production specialization prepares students for entry-level positions in the video game industry using the principles and techniques of interactive 2D and 3D game development. Students will learn game testing, game design, programming and scripting languages, modeling and animation skills, level and world editing, and game engine operation. Project management, creative design, teamwork and communication skills are integrated throughout this dynamic curriculum to prepare students to work on a creative team in the video game industry.

Because the Game and Simulation work environment demands highly advanced skills, it is recommended that students consider this program as an entry point to continued higher education rather than as a terminal degree. Students should consider transfer plans with universities that offer Bachelors of Applied Science and/or Bachelors of Applied Technology Degrees.
