Return to: Programs and Courses Northwest Vista College’s Mexican-American Studies program fulfils of the transfer requirements of all public, four-year colleges and universities in the State of Texas for students seeking a baccalaureate degree with a major in Mexican-American Studies. The material covered through this degree program conveys the broad, rich, and varied experiences of people of Mexican descent in the United States. The Mexican American Studies program provides students with an understanding of the history, societal relations, folklore, literature, and politics of Mexican-American culture, along with an awareness of the many contributions of the Mexican-American community to United States society.
