Associate of Science, concentration in Allied Health-Transfer

This program of study provides the student with course requirements needed by individuals interested in obtaining a degree in one of several Allied Health areas. These areas may include: Nursing, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Dental Hygiene, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Care.  Students will likely be required to take additional hours to meet all of the prerequisite course requirements for entry into a particular program.

 

Degree Requirements (Total Credit Hours: 64)


Communication (9 hours)


 
 
Select 1 course from the Additional Communication (11) Core .

Note: Check with transfer institution for requirement for specific major

Mathematics (3 hours)


Humanities and Visual/Performing Arts (9 hours)


 *
* Note: PHIL 2306 is preferred, or select one course from the Humanities (40) Core  .
Select 1course from the Additional Humanities (41) Core 
Select 1course from the Visual and Performing Arts (50) Core 

Social and Behavioral Sciences (15 hours)


Select 2 courses from the History (60) Core 

 
 

 
 

Note: Students who have completed a GOVT class should check with Student Success for appropriate course to satisfy requirements

Kinesiology (2 hours)


Select 2 credit hours from the Kinesiology (90) Core 

Additional Requirements (18 hours)

A course may be used only once to fulfill degree requirements.

Check with the institution to which you plan to transfer to ensure that courses taken at NVC are the courses that will apply to the appropriate degree.
