Bachelor of Applied Technology - Cloud Computing

This program prepares students for a myriad of mid- and entry-level roles in Cloud Computing Environments. Students will be versed in areas such as open-source technologies, scripting languages, regulatory compliance, multi-cloud environments, serverless computing, Internet of Things (IoT), load balancing, inter and intra-region data transfers, systems engineering, and software development. Students will learn how to design, plan, and manage cloud infrastructure. Also, students will be familiar with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), orchestration and automation of work in the cloud, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies on a cloud platform. 

  1. The program prepares students for the following Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications:
    1. AWS Cloud Practitioner
    2. AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty
    3. AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty
    4. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
    5. AWS Solutions Architect - Associate.

NOTE: Prospective students are required to complete an IT-based Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program consisting of 60 hours as a prerequisite. Subsequently, students will be required to complete the Core curriculum and an additional 30 hours of upper-division technical credits to fulfill the degree.
