The Multimedia Technology program goes beyond design to teach students the tools needed to produce attractive and effective interactive media. This training focuses on the production of client-side interfaces and applications — what the end-user sees and interacts with. Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level employment as Web Designers, Media Authors, Audiovisual Specialists, Multimedia Designers/Specialists. Employment in these and related positions are in demand across most industries.
Multimedia Technology training requires strong emphasis on the use of software, tools, and technology. This program conducts training using cutting-edge skills and technologies employers need, including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, Flex, and new content-management systems.
The Associates of Applied Science degree is recommended for students who wish to eventually pursue a Baccalaureate degree or a management position in industry. The academic courses included in the A.A.S. degree will transfer on to Baccalaureate institutions and provide a broader training for industry.
