This program of study provides the student with course requirements needed by individuals interested in obtaining a degree in one of the many biological sciences specializations or, more specifically, with a pre-medicine or pre-veterinarian emphasis. Students will likely be required to take additional hours to meet all of the prerequisite course requirements for entry into a particular program.

Natural Sciences (8 hours)

BIOL 1406 - Biology for Science Majors I
BIOL 1407 - Biology for Science Majors II

Humanities and Visual/Performing Arts (9 hours)

PHIL 2306 - Introduction to Ethics
Select 1 course from the Additional Humanities (41) Core
Select 1 course from the Visual and Performing Arts (50) Core

Social and Behavioral Sciences (15 hours)

GOVT 2305 - Federal Government
GOVT 2306 - Texas Government
PSYC 2301 - General Psychology
Select 2 courses from the History (60) Core
Note: Students who have completed a GOVT class should check with Student Success for appropriate course to satisfy requirements

Kinesiology (2 hours)

Select 2 credit hours from the Kinesiology (90) Core

A course may be used only once to fulfill degree requirements.
