Return to: Degree Plans & Certificates - By Degree Type An Associate of Arts (AA) degree is designed to transfer to four-year public institutions within the State of Texas. The AA degree completes the core curriculum defined by Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and allows for open electives based upon your major. A course may be used only once to fulfill degree requirements. Specific areas of concentration for the AA degree include Business Administration , Business Administration - Management Information Systems , Criminal Justice , Dance , Drama , Fine Arts , International Studies , Mexican-American Studies , Music , Music Technology , New Media Arts , New Media Communications , Teaching - Option A (AAT), and Teaching - Option B (AAT). Select the general AA degree below or one of the specific degree plans listed above.
